JAMES SMITH: FREELANCE SENIOR EDITOR
With 19 years of experience in the media, TV and film industry, I have planned, cut and delivered a wealth of films for a huge range of clients. I’ve worked on award winning dramas, heart-warming documentaries, engaging content for huge events, informative corporate communication films, sports for broadcast and brand, slick film trailers and luxurious promotions for arts and culture brands.
Over the years I have worked with some truly superb teams and have edited films which have picked up 13 high profile awards at EVCOM (previously IVCA), the New York Film and TV Festival and the Cannes Film Festival.
Prior to freelancing, I worked at Cheerful Scout (Cheerful Twentyfirst) as their senior editor whilst managing and maintaining their five broadcast edit suites.
I am hardworking and efficient, passionate about storytelling and take great pride in crafting exceptional films. I have two 4k edit suites at home with super fast fibre.
